It’s 10 years since last time Gabros International FC played at top level of Nigerian football. For the up-coming season, the Nnewi-based side is back in the Nigeria Professional Football League after winning promotion from the Nigeria National League 2014.
Unfortunately, it is very difficult to find information about the players of the newly-promoted side. At the bottom of this post, I have listed players I can document featured for the club during the season.
I think Anderson Okeke, who spent some time in the Ukraine, is the first-choice goalkeeper at Gabros International FC. Eze Chidiebere, formerly of Dolphins FC, is also a good goalkeeper.
Mohammed Egahi and Daniel Obasi are highly-rated defenders who are playing regularly.
As far as I know, Emeka Isaac, who spent the last part of the 2014 season at Rangers International FC, has returned to Gabros International FC for the up-coming season. If so, he will be the midfield maestro of the club. Attacking midfielder Oluchukwu Nwosu is also a key player.
The star player at Gabros International FC is arguably striker / attacking midfielder Stephen Chukwude, who scored 10-12 goals during the season. Striker Michael Ohanu is also a player to watch. Ohanu scored 5-7 goals, and has been on fire during friendly matches this winter.
