* It didn’t quite work out for Nathaniel Asamoah in Serbia. After 1 1/2 seasons as a fringe player at FK Crvena Zvezda, the 23-year old striker returned to Ghana and Medeama SC, making his debut on 29.09.2013. Asamoah is a proven goalscorer in the GLO Premier League and he scored 13 goals during his stint at top club Asante Kotoko FC. Personally, I think Asamoah will get his career back on track and I won’t be surprised if he is back in Europe during 2014. Asamoah is known for speed, strenght and a healthy work-ethic. The picture, found on MTN Football, shows Asamoah in action for FK Crvena Zvezda, also known as “Red Star Belgrade”.

Asamoah was one of the first players I presented at my blog: https://westafricanfootball.com/2010/10/22/nathaniel-asamoah/.

* James Boadu is another newcomer at New Edubiase United FC, truly a smart signing. Boadu was originally a striker but these days, he if often found in a midfield role. At Berekum Arsenal FC, he was often used as a deep-lying playmaker, dictating the flow of the game. Boadu has turned 28 and has European experience from Turkey and Albania. On 02.10.2013, he scored his first goal for New Edubiase United FC.

* Joseph Mugre, who I have wrongfully referred to as “Joseph Mugri”, is a journeyman striker, currently playing for newly promoted Sekondi Hasaacas FC. Mugre has played for four different top level clubs during the last four seasons. At Aduana Stars FC, Mugre showed a lot of promise and he will need to rediscover this form at his new club.
