After two fantastic goals against USC Bassam on 09.12.2012, I believe it is fair to say that Cheick Moukoro of AFAD Djékanou is one of the hottest players in the Ivorian Ligue 1 2012-2013. Moukoro, born 12.06.1991, is primarily a winger or an attacking midfielder; although he is comfortable in various attacking roles.
The current season is Moukoro’s fourth at top level of Ivorian football. Moukoro is a key player for AFAD Djékanou and is known as a skilful player with excellent ball-control, dribbling skills and pace. He is a great counter-attack player. During 2010 and 2011, Moukoro was part of the Ivory Coast U-23 national football team. During 2012, Moukoro gained experience from playing in the CAF Champions League and the CAF Confederations Cup. Moukoro scored two goals; against Diables Noirs (Congo) on 06.03.2012 and against JSM Bejaia (Algeria) on 07.04.2012.
The goals against USC Bassam can be watched in the following video:
The first goal shows excellent foot-work by Moukoro and a powerful, well-placed finish from about 16 meters. The second goal shows yet another clinical finish from about 11 meters. Moukoro has never been particularly dangerous in front of goal but has obviously worked with his finishing during 2012. If Moukoro is able to develop this part of his game even further, he could very well head for bigger leagues.
The full name of Moukoro is “Cheick Ahmed Tenena Moukoro”. The picture was found on Transfermarkt.
