ADAMAWA UNITED FC AND AJIROBA-OONI FC

Adamawa United FC is based in Yola in northeastern Nigeria. According to http://www.nigerianationalleague.com/, Adamawa United FC ended the season as number 8 of 9 teams in “Division B” of the Nigeria National League 2012. In other words, the club was relegated and will play at third level of Nigerian football next season. The club scored 19 goals during their 16 matches. I’ve been able to find the scorer of 15 of these goals.

It is very difficult to find information about this team. I know that Tijani Dansabe, Sadiq Lawal and Abubakar Shehu scored at least two goals each. Yakubu Auta (winger), Hamidu Gambo, Isah Garba, Sadiq Lawal, Tunde Oladapo, Azeez Abiola Safaru, Abubakar Shehu, Lukman Surajo and Ismaila Yahaya are other players I have noticed.

AJIROBA-OONI FC

Ajiroba-Ooni FC is based in Ile-Ife in south-western Nigeria. According to http://www.nigerianationalleague.com/, Ajiroba-Ooni FC ended the season at the rock bottom of “Division D” of the Nigeria National League 2012. In other words, the club was relegated and will play at third level of Nigerian football next season. The club scored eight goals during their 16 matches. According to my own statistics, Ajiorba-Ooni FC scored nine goals and I have been able to find the scorer of all these goals.

Yusuf Oyediran is arguably the most interesting player at the club. The young goalkeeper participated for the Nigeria U-20 national football team during the Cape Town U-20 International friendly tournament.

Taiwo Amusan scored two goals during the season. According to Completesportsnigeria, Amusan is a talented 18 year-old youngster who can play in several attacking positions. Amusan is apparently the brother of petit striker Adewale Sunday Amusan, formerly of FC Koper (Slovenia) and currently playing for Wikki Tourists FC.

Funsho Alamayo started the season as the main striker of the team but joined top level side ABS FC in May 2012.

Other players I have noticed are Adekunle Busari, Sunday Ndubuisi, Austin Iluebbey, Saheed Kayode Lasisi, Arowolo Olamide, Shehu Shobayo, Nurudeen Ajibola and Salaudeen Sileola. Shobayo scored two goals during the season.
