Halm started the season with the number one shirt but lost his place to Kofi Mensah. Halm is approximately 24 years old and is a former player of Great Olympics.

First-choice goalkeeper who has gotten some rave reviews this season. Mensah was also an important player when Tema Youth FC won promotion to the GLO Premier League last season.


Alexander ANTWI

DOB: 22.02.1986

Antwi, a strong central defender, joined Tema Youth FC during the mid-season transfer window. Antwi was part of the Tema Youth FC squad the last time the club played at top level, during the GLO Premier League 2008-2009. Last season, Antwi was a fringe player for Berekum Chelsea FC.

Arkorful, an attacking minded left-back, has been one of the revelations of the season. Arkorful, most likely in his early twenties, is skillful, powerful and truly an attacking weapon for Tema Youth FC. He scored two goals during the season.

Joseph Larweh ATTAMAH

Attamah is an effective central defender who was a key player when Tema Youth FC won promotion last season.

Joseph Kofi BARTELS

Bartels, a defender or midfielder, rarerly featured in the matchday squad.

Emmanuel BOATENG

Boateng, primarily a right-back, is a powerful defender.

Jonathan ESHUN

Eshun, a backup defender, never managed to break into the first team.

Oninku is comfortable both at left-back and right-back. In May 2012, Oninku was one of three candidates for the Ghana Football Association Most Promising Player-award. Oninku has been consistent at the back and has impressed with his overlapping runs, precise crosses and hard tackles.

Kenneth OWUSU

Owusu is a strongman in the heart of the defence and one of the players who deserves special attention. Owusu scored one goal during the season.

Stephen TETTEH

Tetteh is a strong central defender or defensive midfielder.

Emmanuel Ofori TEYEHUGMEH

DOB: 07.10.1992

Teyehugmeh is a fast central defender, formerly of Berekum Chelsea FC. As far as I know, Teyehugmeh never broke into the first team.


Bernard AKUFFO

DOB: 20.12.1986

Akuffo was captaining Tema Youth FC until he joined AshantiGold SC in January 2012. Akuffo played 12 matches and scored three goals before he left the club. Akuffo is primarily an attacking midfielder or left-winger, known for his creativity and hard running. Akuffo was part of the Tema Youth FC squad the last time the club played at top level, during the GLO Premier League 2008-2009.

Conney is a hard-working attacking midfielder or winger who joined Tema Youth FC during the mid-season transfer window.

Abdulai HAMZA

DOB: 30.11.1987

On paper, Hamza is the star of the team. The attacking midfielder, formerly of Real Sportive and Hearts of Oak SC, scored four goals, all during the first part of the season. During the last three months of the season, Hamza struggled to find his top form and the playmaker will most likely be disappointed with his overall performances.

Huzeifa, a key midfielder when Tema Youth FC won promotion, played only a handful matches during the season, making few headlines.

Jacobson LARWEH

DOB: Unknown

Larweh played a couple of matches during the first part of the season.

Derrick MENSAH

DOB: Unknown

Mensah is a key player at central midfield and definitely a player to watch. Mensah trained with the Ghana U-20 national football team during the season and has also been part of Ghana U-23. Mensah has a great all-round view of the match and is often directing the constribution of the ball. He failed to score a single goal during his first ever season at top level and this is an area he should try to improve.

Creative midfielder Odjer was apparently 15 years old when the season started. Despite his inexperience, Odjer was one of the discoveries of the season, scoring two goals and impressing with his skill, passing and endurance. Apparently, foreign scouts and local top clubs, including Hearts of Oak SC, have already discovered the youngster.

Albert OSEI

Osei is a stylish midfielder who joined Tema Youth FC during the mid-season transfer window.

Zubeiru SALIFU

DOB: Unknown

Salifu was in and out of the first eleven during the season, performing well as a defensive midfielder or central defender. Some glimpses of his qualities can be found here: According to this video, Salifu is born 07.11.1994 and 187 centimeters.

Sayibu was mostly a substitute but played a couple of matches, mostly at the left side of the midfield.

Benjamin TERRY

Terry is a lively winger, often found on the left, who scored two league goals during the season.

Lively attacker Amoah, formerly of Liberty Professionals FC, scored three goals during the season.

Expectations were high when John Antwi joined Tema Youth FC from Hearts of Oak SC before the current season. Antwi, a big striker, was mostly used as a substitute at the Phobians and he struggled to get playing time at Tema Youth FC as well.

Appiah is a hard working and mobile attacker who can play on both flanks or as a striker. Apparently, Appiah was top scorer when Tema Youth FC won promotion before the current season. Appiah scored four league goals in his first season at top level. He was often used as a substitute, but should be satisfied with his performances.

Abel Armah HAMMOND

Hammond, a powerful striker, joined Tema Youth FC during the mid-season transfer window and scored two goals.

Francis NARH

DOB: Unknown

Narh, an energetic striker or winger, became top scorer in his first ever season at top level, scoring six goals. The youngster is apparently on the radar of Asante Kotoko FC.

The young striker was a fringe player during the first part of the season.

Nicholas ODJER

DOB: Unknown

Odjer made mostly substitute appearances during the season, scoring two goals. Despite not being a regular, Odjer looked sharp whenever he got time on the field. Nicholas Odjer and Moses Odjer are brothers.
